WHAT'S INVOLVED...
AIRCRAFT

Genewral Aviation registered Aircraft Cessna 150 Aerobat.

General Aviation registered aircraft (GA) - Cessna 172N

​

General Aviation registered aircraft (GA) - Piper Cherokee 140

COURSE DURATION

Full time: 2 - 3 Months

Part time: 6 - 12 Months

Fast Track - 4 - 6 Weeks

LEARNING OUTCOMES

Successful completion of the Recreational Pilot Licence allows holders to fly anywhere in Australia outside controlled airspace in daylight hours with one passenger on board.

FLIGHT TRAINING
  • Complete between 20 - 25 hours (minimum) of flight training.

  • Including 5 hours of supervised solo flights.

  • 1 flight test with a CASA approved Testing Officer

THEORY EXAMS
  • Complete 1 RPL exam based on 3 theory modules:

  • Basic Aeronautical Knowledge;

  • Meteorology;

  • Human Factors.

COST

Pay-as-you-fly cost in the Cessna 150: $337 / hour - dual
