This is the next step in your flight training and provides the freedom
to fly anywhere within Australia with passengers.
WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR...
For those that have successfully gained their Recreational Pilot Licence,
this is the next step in your flight training. The Private Pilot Licence will allow you to fly
and navigate your own aircraft anywhere in Australia.
WHAT'S INVOLVED...
AIRCRAFT

General Aviation registered aircraft (GA) -

Cessna 172 R

Piper Cherokee 140

Rockwell Commander 114A

LEARNING OUTCOME

Successful completion of the Private Pilot Licence allows holders to fly anywhere within Australia and carry up to 5 passengers on board.

COURSE DURATION

Full time: 3 Months

Part time: 6 - 12 Months

Fast Track: 3 - 4 weeks

FLIGHT TRAINING
  • Complete an additional 20-24 hours of flight training.

  • Including 5 hours of cross country navigation.

  • 1 flight test with a CASA approved Testing Officer

THEORY EXAMS

Complete 1 PPL exam based on 4 theory modules:

  • Meteorology;

  • Navigation;

  • Air Law;

  • Flight Performance.

COST

Pay-as-you-fly cost in the Cessna 172 / Piper Cherokee: $405 / hour - dual

(Fuel Surcharge may apply)
 

Pay-as-you-fly cost in the Rockwell 114 Commander: $675 / hour - dual (plus landing charges)

Fast Track Pilot Program - From and estimated $12K - $13k
